Floor

Cut two 2×4’s to 8′ long. Cut seven 2×4’s to 3′ 9″ long. Assemble the floor frame as shown on illustration above using 3 1/2″ nails.

Cut two 4×4’s to 8′ long, cut the ends of the 4×4 skids as shown on illustration above. Install the 4×4 skids to the bottom of the floor frame, toenail 3 1/2″ nails through the floor frame and into the skids.

Cut a 3/4″ plywood to 4’x8′ for the floor deck. Use 2″ deck screws to install floor deck.

Wall Frame

Front/back wall frame:

Cut two 2×4’s to 8′ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 9′ 1″ long. Cut ten 2×4’s to 2′ 9″ long. Cut four 2×4’s to 7′ 9″ long. Cut four 2×4’s to 1′ 4″ long. Cut ten 2×4’s to 1′ 8″ long.

Assemble the front and back wall frames as shown on illustration above using 3 1/2″ nails.

Right wall frame:

Cut two 2×4’s to 3′ 5″ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 6′ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 2′ 9″ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 3′ 2″ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 4″ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 1′ 8″ long.

Assemble the right wall frame as shown on illustration above using 3 1/2″ nails.

Cut two 2×4’s to 3′ 5″ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 6′ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 5′ 6 1/2″ long. Cut two 2×4’s to 3′ 2″ and a 1/2″ plywood to 3 1/2″ x 3′ 2″ for the header, see illustration below for details.

Assemble the left wall frame as shown on illustration above using 3 1/2″ nails.

Header Details

Install the wall frames using 3 1/2″ nails. Nail wall frame into floor and wall frames.

Truss/Rafters

Cut fourteen 2×4’s to 2′ 10 1/8″ long. Cut 18.5-degree angle cuts on both ends in the same direction.

Cut two 2×4’s to 7″ long. Cut one 2×4 to 9′ 1″ long. Install the 2×4 ridge board as shown on illustration above using 3 1/2″ nails.

Install the rafters as shown on illustration above using 3 1/2″ nails.

Cut four 2×4’s to 2 5/8″ x 1′ 9 3/4″. Cut four 2×4’s to 2 5/8″ x 1′ 10 1/2″. Install between rafters as shown on illustration above using 3 1/2″ nails.

Siding

Front/back siding:

Cut four 1/2″ – 4’x8′ plywood to 6′ 9 1/2″ long. Notch plywood siding around roof boards and install using 1 1/2″ finishing nails. Cut window opening as shown on illustration above.

Right/left siding:

Cut two 1/2″ – 4’x8′ plywood to 7′ 5 3/4″ long. Measure and cut the plywood siding on top and notch around roof boards. Install using 1 1/2″ finishing nails. Cut out window and door opening. The door opening plywood will be used to build the door.

Roof Deck

Measure, cut, and install the 1/2″ plywood roof deck using 1 1/2″ nails.

Door

Woodworking Planshow to Woodworking Plans for Cut two 2×4’s to 6′ 1/4″ long. Cut one 2×4 to 3′ 6″ long. Install to door opening as shown on illustration above using 3″ finishing nails.

Cut two 2×4’s to 5′ 8 3/4″ long. Cut one 2×4 to 2′ 11″ long. Cut three 2×4’s to 2′ 4″ long.

Assemble door as shown on illustration above, nail 1 1/2″ nails through the plywood and into the 2×4’s.

Attach the hinges to the door and install door, install door handle. Cut out window opening.

Trim

Measure, cut, and install the 1×4 corner trim as shown on illustration above using 1 1/2″ finishing nails.

Measure, cut, and install 1×6 trim to the inside of the window opening using 1 1/2″ finishing nails.

Shingles/Paint

Install roofing paper, drip-edge, and shingles. Protect wood by painting or use wood stain or finish.
